Capturing images of your hardcopy documents using Intelefile is easy. We have designed the interface with an intuitive three step process:
Step 1 – Scan the document
The libraries menu item allows you to select the appropriate libraries for the documents that you want to scan. Having selected the library, for example the Accounts library, the various categories will be displayed as tabs and the document types as buttons. To scan the document simply click the appropriate document type button.
Step 2 – Quality Assurance
When the document has been scanned the images will be displayed in the main window. A range of image display options (single, 2, 4 and 8 pages per view) allow the quality of images to be checked quickly and accurately. You can also zoom and rotate the images as required. If all the images are clear and legible, simply click send to outbox before starting to scan your next document.
If an image needs to be replaced, the toolbar on the left of the screen provides simple functions to replace, insert, append or delete an image; or to replace or delete the whole document.
Step 3 – transmit
Once checked, the images are stored in the Outbox until they are transmitted to our servers. Transmitting the images is easy – simply select the documents you want to send (normally all of them) and click ‘Transmit'. Intelescan creates a secure link to our servers and sends each image through this tunnel to our server.
When each document has been successfully transmitted the entry will be removed from the Outbox and logged in the Sent items screen:
